As of September 14, at 8 a.m., there is one new death and 16 new positive cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Dubois County to report. That brings the total to 911 positive cases of COVID-19 in Dubois County residents, with a total of 18 deaths and 783 recovered. Approximately 7,823 residents have been tested.
“We mourn the death and extend our prayers and sympathies to the family and friends of this individual,” said Dubois County Health Officer Dr. Ted Waflart of the most recent death. “This serves as an unfortunate reminder to the entire Dubois County community of the importance of following recommended guidelines to stop the spread of this virus and help protect our most vulnerable neighbors. We cannot emphasize enough for all of you to use a mask when they are around others, practicing social distancing and washing their hands frequently. “
