OWI arrest

Jasper Police received a call in reference to a possibly intoxicated driver last Wednesday, December 9. Officers located the 1984 Chevy truck and observed the driver failing to signal a turn, driving left of center and onto a curb. Officers conducted a traffic stop, during which the driver was identified as 43-year-old Michael Sullivan of Jasper. Further investigation determined Sullivan was intoxicated. Due to the results of the field sobriety test officers conducted, Sullivan was offered a chemical test, which he allegedly refused. Sullivan was then transported to Memorial Hospital, where a warrant was granted and Sullivan submitted to a chemical test that showed his blood alcohol content to be 0.158. Sullivan was charged with operating while intoxicated with a BAC of 0.15 or more; he was booked into the Security Center.
