Hit and run
Ferdinand Police were called to a hit and run accident at 624 West 9th Street last Tuesday, January 26 that had occurred sometime between Monday evening and Tuesday morning. The owner of the 2015 Chevy Silverado Z71, Carlos Castillo, advised police that someone had struck his truck during that time frame. Damages were estimated at around $2,000. Jasper Police Department
Rear end collision
Kevin Messmer, 60, of Jasper, was attempting to pull onto US 231 from Hoffman Road when his 2017 Lexus ES was struck from behind by a 2015 Ford Fusion driven by 18-year-old Ella Goeppner, also of Jasper. Messmer complained of neck pain and was treated by medical personnel at the scene. Each vehicle sustained approximately $100 in damage in the January 26, 6 p.m. accident.
