Man arrested for theft, drug possession
After receiving a report of a theft from a local business last Friday, Jasper Police served a search warrant to the suspect’s address on Leopold Street. Officers located the stolen article and also found methamphetamine and paraphernalia. Tommy Critchfield, 50, of that address, was arrested and charged with theft (a level 6 felony due to a prior conviction), possession of methamphetamine (level 5 felony), possession of paraphernalia (class A misdemeanor) and possession of a syringe (level 6 felony). He was lodged in the Dubois County Security Center. Jasper Police were assisted by the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office and the Prosecutor’s Office.
