Gary Lee Young, 74, of Rockport, passed away on Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh.
Gary was born in Evansville, on November 6, 1946, to the late Audry William Young and Anna Lee (Howland) Young.
Gary was a member of Patronville United Methodist Church. He was also a 50 year member of Rockport Masonic Lodge 112, a member of Sons of the American Legion Post 254, and AMVETS of Owensboro.
Gary was a farmer and also worked at ALCOA and retired from Operating Engineers Local 181.
Gary is survived by his wife of 52 years, Nancy (Axton) Young of Rockport; children, Audra Beth Stewart and Kyle Axton Young, both of Rockport, and Bobby Polston of Newburgh; his grandchildren, Collin Stewart and Connor Stewart; his sister, Vickie Walters; his aunts, Lula Mae Harmon and Betty Neal.
A Masonic Service will begin at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 6, at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport, followed by a funeral service with Pastor Carl Jones officiating.
Visitation is 10 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Rockport Masonic Lodge 112 or Rockport American Legion Post 254.
