James “Jim” L. Boyd, 81, of Newburgh, passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, Indiana.
Jim was born in Spencer County, on February 7, 1943, to the late Paul Boyd and Betty (Cotton) Scales.
Jim retired from 3M after several years of service, where he was in Human Resource Management. He was a St. Louis Cardinals Fan, an IU Fan, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing. He was also a member of The M&M’s, a special group of friends who have been together for several years.
Jim is survived by his wife, Joyce (Bender) Boyd; his sisters Jeri Capezza and her husband, Jim, and Peggy Coomer and her husband, Scott; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
The family will hold a memorial service at The Rustic, 1375 S Old State Rd. 45, Rockport, from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. on Thursday, July 11.
