Joyce Jean Johnson, 83, of Chrisney, passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2020, at St. Vincent Medical Center in Evansville.
Joyce was born on August 19, 1937, in Spencer County, to the late Eugene and Marie (Ayer) Patmore.
Joyce attended Kentucky Wesleyan College and had been a court reporter for the Spencer County Courthouse. She worked and retired from Chrisney State Bank. She was a very hardworking and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her memberships included Little Pigeon Baptist Church and the Lincoln Hills Arts and Crafts Association.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Larry Patmore.
Joyce is survived by her husband, Jim Johnson of Chrisney; children, Ron Johnson and his wife, Janet and Cynthia Berg and her husband, Tom; grandchildren, Jacob Knepper and his wife, Jeanna, Jennifer Siukola and her husband, David; Phillip Knepper and his wife, Alisha and James A. Johnson; great-grandchildren, Wyatt Knepper, Lenny Knepper and Lillian Siukola; step-grandchildren, Brooke Berg, Brandon Berg and his wife, Kristy; step-great-grandchildren, Xavier Berg, Zander Berg, and Brexton Berg; and siblings, Pat, Norman and Judy.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, October 9, at Little Pigeon Baptist Church at 3249 E. 1200 N. Chrisney, with Pastor Bob Duley officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery in Chrisney.
Visitation is from 1 until 2 p.m. Friday at Little Pigeon Baptist Church.
