Lana L. Lanman, 77, Huntingburg

Lana L. Lanman, 77, of Huntingburg, passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2020, at her residence.

She was born August 9, 1942, in Bristow, to James “Eck” and Ida (Taylor) Lanman. 

Lana received her Bachelor’s degree from Oakland City College and her Master’s degree from the University of Evansville, both in Elementary Education. She was a teacher for the Southwest Dubois County School Corporation for 43 years, working at Maple Park and Huntingburg Elementary.  

A member of the Little Pigeon Primitive Baptist Church in Lincoln City, she enjoyed sewing, computers, reading, decorating and Indiana history. 

She is survived by one brother, Flavis (Judy) Lanman of Huntingburg, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Everett, Ervin and Cliston Lanman; and six sisters, Evelyn Gaines, Irma Wright, Ruth Jones, Ruby Klem, Betty Egbert and Dorothy Murphy.

Private services for Lana L. Lanman were held at Nass and Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial following in Bristow Cemetery. Condolences may be shared online at www.nassandson.com.
