Catherine Crawford, 82, of Rockport, passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2019, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh.
She was born on March 14, 1937 in Glenndean, Kentucky, to the late Lawrence Estil Payne, Sr. and Zora Mae (Mattingly) Payne.
A member of St. Bernard Catholic Church for over 50 years, she had worked at Tell City Chair and Farbest Foods, and had been a caregiver for her nephew, Aaron Lee Schulte.
Survivors include her daughters, Mary South (Jessie) of Grandview and Elizabeth Ward (Rick Murphy) of Rockport; five grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; and siblings, Junior Payne, Charles Payne (Janet), Donnie Payne (Joann), Regina Beeler (Larry), Peggy Schulte (Herb), Judy Dickens (Mike), Lucy Payne (Edgar), Debbie Hall (Larry) and Paula Kellems.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James William Crawford, Jr., who passed away in 2018; siblings, Burma Addis, Rebecca King, and two infant brothers; and her goddaughter, Carolyn Hall.
Services for Linda Catherine Crawford were held Monday, July 29, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Rockport with Father Ron Kreilein officiating. Burial followed in St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery.
Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport was in charge of all arrangements.
