The Lincoln Heritage Public Library played host to Mario and Sonic Monday afternoon, June 30. While the two video-game icons hailed from different consoles and franchises, the characters drew an excited crowd of kids to both branches for parties, including a showing of their recent blockbuster film releases. The Chrisney branch was Nintendo central as Mario posed for pictures with young attendees and checked out some of the books in the collection. Dale was firmly in Sega territory, with the world’s fastest hedgehog scooting into the children’s section to hang out and watch his latest movie with the kids.
The Mario visit was sponsored by Southern Indiana Power. Sonic’s visit was made possible with a sponsorship by Jasper Engines. Both visits were organized by Feller Express of Evansville.
