Other upcoming events are Sept. 12 at 6 p.m. launching from the Derby boatramp to paddle to Oil Creek and back before the Derby fireworks. We will meet at the Derby boat-ramp off of Hwy 66.
Launch time is 6 p.m. CST. That means we’re leaving the boatramp at that time. Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to that time for safety instruction and to sign a waiver. You must have your life jacket and a light source in order to paddle with us on this one!
Please RSVP to this event as “Going” only if you plan on attending or email us at info@paddleperry.com or text Kelly at (812) 608-0626We will paddle from the Derby boat-ramp back into Oil Creek and then back to the boat-ramp in time for the fireworks show. This is roughly an hour long paddle. The fireworks show starts around 7-7:30 (guessing).
Please bring:
– your own kayak, paddle and PFD (if you need to borrow a boat just let us know!)
– snacks and drinks
– towel and extra clothes (just in case!) Paddle Perry has shirts for sale for $5 (soft or dry fit tee) or $15 (uv long sleeve)
– dry box or bag, Paddle Perry has 5L dry-bags for sale for $10 (has a phone pocket for quick and easy access)
– a light source (headlamp, flashlight, glowsticks, etc)
– water shoes
– a light jacket if you get cold easily
– bug spray
