SANTA CLAUS – Holiday World and Splashin’ Safari opens its doors to the world for the 2023 season May 7, but some travelers from afar are moving in early for the long haul. The theme park’s new housing project, Compass Commons, is now complete and ready to house any worker over the age of 18 living more than 50 miles away. Many of those staying in town this year hail from much farther away than that, including employees from as far away as Thailand. Leah Koch-Blumhardt, fourth generation owner of the park, expects the modern facility to be at full capacity once a few seasonal employees complete their visa process.
Compass Commons includes three stories with 35 rooms, offering enough beds for 136 team members. There are security measures in place to ensure only team members have access, along with 24/7 monitoring.
