The Heritage Hills baseball team’s season opener with Northeast Dubois was moved up a day due to Mother Nature.
With heavy rain and a threat for storms in the forecast for Friday, the Patriots and Jeeps wanted to take advantage of the sun and pleasant weather while it lasted.
Both did.
A beautiful day on the diamond saw its share of solid play.
Unfortunately for Heritage Hills, however, their effort didn’t quite produce a victory as they dropped a hard fought 4-3 decision to host N.E. Dubois last Thursday evening in Dubois.
