Sweatshirts, gloves and winter beanies are sometimes needed for an early season track meet. But none of those were present early last week during the Heritage Hills dual matchup with Forest Park. Instead, shorts, t-shirts and sun visors were the norm. With temperatures hovering in the low 80s, it almost seemed like late May and not early April.

Heritage Hills specifically made good use of Mother Nature’s treat to find individual success against their rivals who reside just to the north.

The Patriots won five events but dropped a 79.5-43.5 decision to the host Rangers in the boys meet, while the Lady Pats took home three blue ribbons before falling to the Lady Rangers 89-34 last Tuesday night in Ferdinand.
