While older students were enjoying recess last Monday, May 16, first-graders at Lincoln Trail Elementary were working up a healthy sweat. All clad in bright yellow t-shirts, the island at the school’s entrance was a hive of activity — appropriate, since the focus of their worthy project was saving the bees.

You can read all about their adventure, and gardening tips, in this week’s edition of the Spencer County Leader!
