Monday, September 19th the South Spencer Lady Rebels soccer team took on the Forest Park Lady Rangers in Reo. The conditions were hot with a hint of humidity, throwing a definite curveball. That did not stop the South Spencer girls from persevering the best they could against rival, Forest Park. Eventually, a hard fought 4-0 decision was dropped to the class A, No 17 ranked Rangers.
Sports Editor, Brian Bohne caught up with Lady Rebel coach, Katie Calhoun for a few words after the game. “We were kind of dragging today, and I hope it was the warm conditions that caused some of that sluggish play,” explained the Lady Rebel boss. “Also, we’re coming off a stretch of like seven games in the last 12 days. We were a little wore and the heat didn’t help.”
