Red Cross hosting blood drives in memory of Patty Cochenour

The American Red Cross is hosting blood drives across Spencer County this holiday season. The first such event was held Monday, November 25 at the Spencer County 4-H Youth and Community Center.

The next blood drive will be held at St. Meinrad Archabbey from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, December 9. Bethel Christian Center will host a drive from 1 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, December 11. Lincoln Heritage Public Library in Dale will cap the season with a blood drive from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, December 30.

These blood drives are being held in honor of the late Patty Cochenour, who passed away this year. Blood donations help many different kinds of patients, from children with rare blood disorders to accident victims and those battling cancer.
