Spencer and Dubois County COVID-19 Reports – January 21, 2021

Spencer County recorded 20 new cases of COVID-19 on January 20, bringing the total to 2,023. There are currently 144 people in home isolation, four in the hospital or rehab, 1,861 have recovered and 17 have died. There is an additional death under investigation believed to be COVID-related.

Dubois County reported 31 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday, January 21, bringing the total to 5,525. Another death was recorded, raising the death toll to 78. The good news is that the number of reported cases has been falling since the first of the year, which saw 498 new cases from the week before. The bad news is that 35 COVID-19 related deaths have been reported since Christmas. In addition, last week saw 313 cases recorded and 190 new cases have been reported since last Thursday.
