Driver strikes tire rim in roadway

Sierra Roberts, 34, of Lewisport, KY, was eastbound on SR 66 near Richland when, she later told police, she struck a large tire rim that was in the roadway. Roberts was forced to pull off the roadway when her 2013 Nissan Maxima began overheating. Roberts was not injured in the August 28, 10:33 p.m. accident, but damage to her vehicle was estimated between $1,000-2,500.

Trailer tips over

Owen Kerr, 21, of Lanesville, was turning west onto SR 66 from CR 350 W near Rockport when, he later told police, the trailer hitched attached to his Chevrolet pickup snapped, causing the trailer to tip over. The trailer was carrying a piece of construction equipment at the time of the accident, and was leaking fluid after the accident, according to the report. A towing company from Owensboro, KY arrived on scene to turn the trailer upright. Kerr was not injured in the August 25, 6:38 a.m. accident. Total damage was estimated between $1,000-2,500.
