It’s beginning to look a lot like Halloween in Rockport and across the county as homeowners get into the spirit of the season. Fans of fall weather, or at least the seasonal atmosphere if the temperature isn’t cooperating, might enjoy taking a stroll or drive through their local communities to enjoy the hard work of their neighbors.
Trick or treaters will soon be taking Halloween to the streets of local communities as well, either on the evening of October 31 itself, or at several holiday-related events. Rockport Elementary will stage a sneak preview of Halloween evening in Rockport Friday afternoon as around 300 students will march up and down Main Street to trick or treat at local businesses.
There are plenty of other activities, chances to show off costumes or excuses to get out and enjoy the season this week. Be sure to keep a weather eye open in this week’s issue of the Spencer County Leader for spooky happenings.
