Virginia “Ginnie” Mae Jones, 87, of Rockport, passed away on Monday, March 13, 2023, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital in Owensboro, Kentucky.
Ginnie was born in Douglas, Georgia on December 29, 1935, to Ernest and Naomi (Lott) Bennett.
She had worked at Swedish Match in Owensboro, Kentucky and had also been a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, Ginnie was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Jones; her son, Ernest L. Jones; and her siblings.
Ginnie is survived by her children, Raymond E. Jones Jr. and his wife, Vickie, of Jacksonville, FL, Robert Jones of Jacksonville, FL, and Jeniffer Jones of Rockport; 11 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren.
Services are 2 p.m. Friday, March 17, at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery in Grandview.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
