Residents of South Spencer take heart!
The South Spencer County School Corporation staff does not want any child to go hungry during the closure of the schools in light of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.
As Superintendent Richard Rutherford notes, “We are in some unchartered waters right now.”
Now through April 13, and longer if necessary, the corporation will provide lunches for all children 18 and under (included children not old enough to attend school).
Parents can pick up meals curbside at two distribution sites, Rockport and Luce elementaries, daily between 10:45 a.m. and 12 p.m. Included with the lunch is something for breakfast the following morning.
The children do not have to be in the car for the families to receive the lunches.
