Will Read and Sing for Food (WRASFF), a unique blend of funny essays and live music, is coming out of retirement on June 10 for a one-night-only show to benefit both Next Act, Inc., and Anderson Woods Summer Camp for disabled people.

The event begins at 7:30 p.m. EST (6:30 CST). Admission is a recommended $10 or more donation per person, which will be paid at the door. Tickets will also be sold at the door that evening, but not online. To ensure you have a seat, Saalman highly recommends you make reservations by contacting him (scottsaalman@gmail.com) or Kyle Lueken (klueken40@gmail.com) via email.

The Friday performance is being billed as “PATTYFEST,” in honor of WRASFF founder and host Scott Saalman’s mother, Patty Saalman, who died last year after a five-year battle with stage 4 colon cancer.

“Mom was our biggest fan,” says Saalman. “Out of our 151 shows, she attended 145 of them. Cancer treatments caused her to miss those other six shows.”
