Barbara Ann Shaw Rodgers, 90, of Hatfield, passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2023.
Barbara was born on October 19, 1932, to William and Idella May Shaw in Albion, Illinois. She was the youngest of their 10 children.
Barbara graduated from Edwards County High School in 1950 and Lockyear Business College in 1954. She married Paul Dale Rodgers on Sept. 30, 1954, in Albion, IL.
Barbara loved playing games and going to casinos to play penny slots. She also enjoyed bingo and playing cards, especially family poker games and euchre with her friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Cathy Rodgers of Ormond Beach, Florida, daughter and son-in-law Julie and Tommy Richardson of Hatfield, daughter and son-in-law Jennifer and Bill Pagragan of Richland and daughter Jeanne Rodgers of Elberfeld; eight grandchildren, Cory (Paul) Kelly, Abby (Brandon) Phillips, Katie (Cory) Thompson, Emily (Jordan) Johnson, Nick (Ashley McFarland) Pagragan, Jake (Emily) Pagragan, Amy (Daniel) Robosky, and Jessie Keeton; 19 great-grandchildren, Madeline and Gabriel Kelly, Cole and Mason Phillips, Kelsey Thompson, Sebastian Johnson, William and Domanick Pagragan, James, Finley, Liam, Keeley, Grace, John and Isla Pagragan, Cooper and Tanner Robosky, Ava Rodgers and Max Keeton. She is also survived by one sister, Ruth Doty, and nieces and nephews including Pam Cox and Rita Hagedorn who held a special place in her heart.
In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband and eight of her siblings.
Services will be held at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport on Tuesday, July 25. Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. with Memorial Service following at 3 p.m.
