Patricia “Patsy” Ann Herron, 87, of Rockport, passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at her home surrounded by family.
Patsy was born in Spencer County on February 10, 1936, to the late Jesse and Mary (Rudisill) Grose.
Patsy was a member of Mt. Zion Methodist Church. She enjoyed being a farmer’s wife and helping her husband, Nelson, on the farm. She loved to crochet, do crafts, garden, and plant flowers.
In addition to her parents, Patsy was preceded in death by her husband, Nelson Her- ron; her siblings, Joe Grose, Jerry Grose, Jesse Grose, Jr., Bill Grose, Betty Weber, and Nancy James.
Patsy is survived by her children, Barbara Sue Hess, Connie Elaine Daugherty, Tina Louise Staack, Ricky Nelson Herron, Danny Lee Herron and Leroy Scott Herron; 13 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Lucille Brock; her brothers, Kenny Dale Grose and his wife, Diane; and Jimmy Grose.
Services were held at Monday, August 7, at Boult- inghouse Funeral Home in Rockport, with Pastors John Wongler and Jim Wilson of- ficiating. Burial followed at Mt. Zion Cemetery.
