Donald Silas Harney, 45, of Rockport, passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh.
Silas was born in Tell City on May 11, 1978, to William H. and Emily Beth (Woolard) Harney.
Silas attended The Refuge in Reo. He had worked as a millwright and enjoyed hunting, fishing, shopping, and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his son, Izaak Harney, and his grandson, Beau Silas Harney.
Silas is survived by his wife, Katrina (Glenn) Harney; his children, Damian Harney and his wife, Elisa, Joseph Harney and his wife, Britteny, and Jacob Harney; his grandchildren, Alayah, Isabella, Cody and Emerson; his parents, William and Emily Beth Harney; his brother, Seth Harney and his wife, Misty; his sister, Sara Beth Morrison; his grandmother, Suzie Huck; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joseph and Janice Glenn.
Services are 10 a.m. Friday, December 22, at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport, with Pastor Jason Toler officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery in Newtonville.
Visitation is from 4 until 8 p.m., Thursday, December 21, and from 9 until 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
