Lonnie Newt Embry, Sr., 84, of Chrisney, passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2024, at his home surrounded by family.
Lonnie was born on November 17, 1939, in Ohio County, Kentucky to the late Clinton and Melissa (Lindsey) Embry.
Lonnie had attended Bakers Creek Baptist Church and was a union roofer through Local 106, retiring after 55 years of service.
He enjoyed singing karaoke, collecting knives, fishing, and computers.
In addition to his parents, Lonnie was preceded in death by his daughter, Pamela Sue Feldpausch; his daughters-in-law, Becky Embry and Mary Embry; four brothers and four sisters.
Lonnie is survived by his wife, Faith (Williams) Embry; his children, Tammy Keller (Jim), Jerry Wayne Embry (Diane), Allen Embry, Lonnie Embry, Jr. (Debbie), Carol Stewart (Randy), Billy Stotlar, Jr. (Rachel) and Suzi Stotlar; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his brother, Basil Embry; his mother-in-law, Lucille Smith, and his baby boy, his beloved dog, Chief.
Services are 12 p.m. Friday, January 12, at Boultinghouse Funeral Home with Pastor Carl Jones officiating. Burial will take place at 2:30 p.m. on Friday at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Butler County, Kentucky.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
