Russell A. Pasco Sr. of Richland, know by “Big Russ” passed away surrounded by family and loved ones on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh.
He was born July 8, 1967, in Evansville, to Jerry Lee Pasco Sr. and Charles Etta Payne.
Russ served his country and was a veteran of the United States Army. He attended St. John Catholic Church in Newburgh. His memberships included Isaac Walton Conservation Club, Am Vet Post No. 84 in Evansville, VFW Post No. 44 in Newburgh and a lifelong member of the NRA.
Russ was a good man who never met a stranger and could talk and joke with anyone. He had a heart of gold and would help anyone he could. He had a love for the outdoors, that took him into the woods and fields to hunt and fish, along with riding motorcycles.
Russ was preceded in death by his parents; mother, Marion Wyber; sister, Marie Pasco; brother, Jerry Lee Pasco Jr.; aunt and uncle, Ralph and Josephine Schmitt.
Russ is survived by his wife, Jenifer Pasco; sons, Russell Pasco Jr. (Kaylee), Jerry Pasco III (Lacy), Charlie Pasco Sr. (Ashley) and Joseph Pasco Sr. (Taylor); 16 grandchildren; brothers, Duane Boyd (Jacinda) and Jeff Boyd; sister, Laura “Mae” Boyd; many other nieces, nephews and extend family.
Services for Russ were held Saturday, March 7, at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport.
