Albert Daniel “A.D.” Chancellor, 74, of Rockport, passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2024, at his home surrounded by family.
A.D. was born in Centertown, Kentucky on November 1, 1949, to Albert and Jessie (Robinson) Chancellor.
A.D. attended Bethel Christian Center in Reo. He had worked as a janitor and enjoyed playing guitar, preaching, and Civil War history. He loved his family and friends very much but loved God above anything else for over 50 years. His favorite Bible verse was Romans 8:28, “And we know that all things work together for the good of them that love the Lord who are called according to His purpose.” He lived that to the fullest.
In addition to his parents, A.D. was preceded in death by his brothers, Fred, Bill, and Jess Chancellor, and his sisters, Elgia Fraim, Lynell Funk, Rosa Mae Duncan, and Lucille Moore.
He is survived by his children, Ameda Colburn, Jesse Chancellor (Sherry), and Michael Decker (Ashley); his grandchildren, Caleb, Jessilynn, Jessiah, Noah, Colton, Camden, and Chloe; his sister, Belvarine Abney.
There will be no services. Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport has been entrusted with care.
