Barbara “Bobbi” Maxine Moran passed away on April 21, 2026 at Brickyards Woodlands in Newburgh, surrounded by her family.
Bobbi was born July 15, 1949, to Burl and Maxine (Olsch) Kimmell.
Bobbi had a true servant’s heart. This heart shone through to all those around her, from her family in times of great need to the 42 years that she served as a fifth grade teacher at Luce Elementary School. In that time, she served as part of the bargaining committee for the teacher’s union, she also helped start and maintain the greenhouse at Luce Elementary School until her retirement.
While in the classroom Bobbi applied for and received a grant from Eli Lilly Corporation to travel to Europe to learn how to make and teach others how to make lace, this was a great opportunity and an honor for her. Bobbi loved to travel all over the world, she loved to bake (world famous chocolate chip cookies and blueberry pancakes).
Bobbi’s faith in Christ was a big part of her life, and it showed. She was a member of the Warrick County Homemakers, was active in women’s Bible studies, served with the Newburgh Presbyterian Church at the Strawberry Festival. She was an active member of Newburgh Presbyterian Church for many years and then at Eastminster Presbyterian Church.
Bobbi loved her family and spending time with her children and grandchildren, and she was a true testament to her faith and sharing it with them.
Bobbi was preceded in death by her parents, infant daughter Maxine Moran, and sister-in-law Judy Kimmell.
Bobbi is survived by her loving husband, David Moran; sons, Eric Moran (Beth), Craig Parker (Bridget), and Kyle Moran (Robin); her grandchildren, Colin Moran (Austen), Olivia Moran, Nicholas Parker, Benjamin Parker, Keller Moran; her siblings, Jennie Seitz (Gary), Bing Kimmell, Karen Cooper (Tom); and her stepmother, Susie Webb, along with many other nieces, nephews and extended family.
