Darlene “Tater” Fuqua, 68, of Rockport, passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh.
Tater was born in Illinois on December 6, 1957, to Willie and Clara (Barker) Cravens.
She attended True Vine Pentecostal Church.
Tater was a homemaker and enjoyed watching the Gameshow Network and the Hallmark Channel. She also enjoyed fishing, yard sales, baking and making candies.
In addition to her parents, Tater is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Fuqua, who passed away in 2020; her siblings, Julius “JR” Cravens (Janice), Joe Cravens, and William Cravens; her in-laws, Marvin “Slick” Fuqua, Lisa Hester, and Jamie Fuqua.
She is survived by her children, Cassandra “Sandra” Fuqua (Jon Burdin) and Christina Smallwood (E.J.); her grandchildren, Brittany, Jamie (Jeff), Shelby, and Hunter; her great-grandchildren, Skylor, Kharma, Ella, Steven, LeeLand, Grayson, Willow, Savannah, Jared and Peyton, her siblings, Dollie McClellan (John), Vickki Johnson, Stacey Woolsey (Kim Allen), Roger Cravens (Janet) and Charles Cravens (Cheryl); her sisters-in-law, Bonita Cravens, Latana Fuqua, Debbie Bolen (Darryl) and Rosetta Elliott.
A Celebration of Life will be held in honor of Tater on May 8, at 5 p.m. at the Ohio Township Volunteer Fire Department in Reo. Friends may leave a condolence for the family at www.BoultinghouseFuneralHome.com.
