Dorothy Pearl Hedrick, 100, of Rockport, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at Woodlands Care Center in Newburgh.
Pearl was born in Rockport on June 15, 1924, to Ivory and Mary (Hagan) Lester.
Pearl was a member of Bethel Christian Center in Reo. She was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting and sewing, gardening, and raising dogs and parakeets.
In addition to her parents, Pearl was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Hedrick, who passed away in 2007; her daughter and son-in-law, Jean and Nathan Greene; her grandsons, Tommy Greene and Darryl Carpenter; and her great-grandsons, Keith Greene and Killian Greene.
She is survived by her daughter, Peggy (Joe) Carpenter; her grandchildren, Mike (Jody) Carpenter, Becky (Steve) Harpenau, Kenny (April) Greene, John (Anna) Greene, and Jody (Jan) Carpenter; her great-grandchildren, Stephanie (Nathaniel), Kaitlyn (August), Sabrina (Jordan), Jacob (Frea), Chrissy (Michael), Josiah (Linszy), Morgan (Cam), Dillon (Savie), Shelby (Mason), Jackson, Summer, and Emma (Hunter); her great-great-grandchildren, Sierra, Remington, Madeline, Sophia, Savannah, Kyson, Kaid, Oatly, Kyrie, Kingsly, Baydyn, Athena, Holden, Leo, Persephone, Dahlia, Houston, Rory, Milani and two more on the way.
Services were held Monday, May 26, at Bethel Christian Center in Reo, with Pastor Walter Phillips officiating. Burial followed at Sunset Hill Cemetery.
