Fall is a great time to get out and explore public lands and photograph the scenery, wildlife and recreational activities. The Hoosier National Forest covers over 200,000 acres, spread across nine counties from Monroe Lake to the Ohio River in south central Indiana. There are limitless opportunities to capture great photographs.
A fall photography contest is open until November 25. Photographs can be submitted to alexander.johnson@usda.gov or mailed to Hoosier National Forest, Attention: Alexander Johnson, 248 15th Street, Tell City, IN 47586. With your photo include the date the photo was taken, location of the photo, your name, category of the photo, and whether you would like to be contacted via email or phone in case you are a prize winner. Photos will be used to promote the forest.
