Howard Roger Miller, 78, of Chrisney, passed away Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh.
Roger was born in Chrisney on June 25, 1942 to Cecil and Hattie (Fisher) Miller.
He was a member of Zion United Church of Christ.
Roger was a United States Navy veteran, a 30 year Naval Seabee, a member of Dale American Legion Post 444, Newburgh Masonic Lodge, Newburgh Odd Fellows, Scottish Rite, a member and past master of Bellevue Masonic Lodge No. 95 of Bellevue, Florida, and a Hadi Shriner.
He was an electrician and co-owned Miller Hardware with his brother, Grover.
In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his first wife, Judith Ann Miller, in 1999.
Roger is survived by his wife, Bonnie (Magee) McDaniel Miller of Chrisney; his son, Chris Miller and his wife, Kimberly, of Omaha, NE; his daughter, Kathy Miller of New Salisbury; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Miller and Caleb Miller; his brother, Grover Miller of Santa Claus; numerous nieces and nephews.
Services for Howard Miller will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 27, at Boultinghouse Funeral Home-Youngblood Chapel, 36 E Market St., Chrisney. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Visitation is 3 until 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 26, with a Masonic service at 6 p.m., and 12 p.m. until the time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
