James Edward Freeman II passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at his home in Grandview.
Jimmy was born on May 23, 1971, to James and Lucille Freeman in New Albany.
Jimmy had many joys in life, he loved to be outdoors, which allowed him to hunt and fish, he also enjoyed cars of all kinds especially hot rods and muscle cars, his favorite car was the Chevy Chevelle. He enjoyed a good car show, especially Cars and Coffee, and Dragging Main in Tell City. Jimmy also loved a good Woogie Bear hunt from time to time. He also a great dance instructor for his grandchildren teaching them to do the Twist. He loved to snack, and was a late night snacker, and his favorite place to snack was in bed watching one of his favorite shows Maple Motors.
His greatest love and joy was being PopPop to his 10 grand babies, watching them grow up and being there for them.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents.
Jimmy is survived by his wife Tyra Freeman, his children Dylan Kerr (Nikki), Ashley Kerr, Garrett Freeman (Mickey), Daniel Freeman (Jenny) and his grandchildren Raylee, Hunter, Oakley, Tyla, Jayden, Adalee, Langston, Kimber, Navy (Woogie Bear), and Rowan.
Services for Jimmy will be held at Boultinghouse Funeral Home on May 22, at 7 p.m. with pastor Steve Buse officiating.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home May 22, from 5 to 7 p.m.
