Jamie “Karen” Brown, of Clinton, passed away Thursday, December 19, 2024, after a long and hard fought battle with cancer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Robert Sivess and Hortence “Mae” Sivess; and brother, James Randle “Randy” Sivess.
Karen was born in Dallas, TX on September 6, 1956, and graduated from Bryan Adams High School in 1974. She attended Tyler Junior College and briefly worked in the insurance industry until she became a mother, where she transitioned to being a homemaker for her children.
Karen enjoyed the company of many friends and was an avid player of continental when she wasn’t attending numerous sporting events of her children.
She transitioned to being a “Memaw” in 2009, and always enjoyed the company of her grandchildren.
She is survived by her brother, Bob (Karla) Sivess; sister, Julie (Clint) Gray; daughter, Elizabeth (Brent) MacDonald; son, Matthew (Heather) Brown; her grandchildren, Ayden, Clayton, Harper, Dylan, Madisyn and Haylee; as well as numerous extended family and friends.
A private celebration of life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Mount Pleasant at: PO Box 1114 Mount Pleasant, TX 75455.
