Janice Maxine Phillips, 79, of Rockport, passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2020, at her home surrounded by family.
Janice was born in Spencer County on February 26, 1941, to the late Amos and Lois (Carpenter) Greene.
She was preceded in death by her son, Randy Phillips; and siblings Rhoda Tyring and Howard Greene.
Janice is survived by her husband, Pastor Walter Phillips of Rockport; son, Pastor Mark Phillips and his wife, Lora of Rockport; daughter-in-law, Beth Phillips of Millerstown, PA; grandchildren, Benjamin Phillips and his wife, Amber of New Hampshire; Julie Tilghman and her husband, Josh of Ireland; Erin Hill and her husband, Caleb of Louisville, KY and Jonathan Phillips and his wife, Lauren, all of Louisville, KY; Hannah Phillips and Elizabeth Phillips, both of Rockport; nine great-grandchildren; siblings, Jerry Greene and his wife, Sharon; Rev. Steve Greene and his wife, Lily; Rev. Marvin Greene and his wife, Pam; Rose Meece and her husband Tim.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 24, at the Bethel Christian Center at 996 North Reo Drive, Rockport, with Pastor Mark S. Phillips and Pastor Walter Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Rockport.
Visitation is from 4 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 23, at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport, and from 9 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Christian Center-Missions, Nepal.
