Joshua “Josh” Caine Embry, 41, of Richland, passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at Ohio County Hospital in Hartford, Kentucky.
Josh was born in Evansville on January 5, 1985, to Michael Embry and Judith Sue Long.
Josh was a 2003 graduate of South Spencer High School and a graduate of University of Southern Indiana and worked as an accountant.
Josh loved the Lord. He enjoyed playing games, tearing up cars, and playing the drums, guitar, and piano. He loved his family, helping others, and had a good heart.
Josh was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ceyton and Melissa Embry, and Henrietta Smith.
He is survived by his daughter, Lilia Kelline Diane Emby; his parents, Michael and Vickie Embry; his brothers, Sean Nance (Lindsay) and Matthew Nance (Samantha); his sister, Brittany Norton (Robbie); his grandparents, Victor Smith, and Edward and Wanda Long; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Services were held Friday, June 12, at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport, with Pastor Jason Toler officiating. Burial followed at Hackleman Cemetery.
