Kathy Ann Coomes peacefully passed away at the age of 68 on September 11, 2025.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rosalee and Robert Goodwin, husband Larry Coomes, sisters Sharon Goodwin and Peggy Goodwin, and brother Robert Goodwin.
Kathy is survived by her loving son Danny Goodwin (Misty); sister Penny Negele (James); grandchildren Daniel Goodwin ( Leslie), Kennsie Ashby (Alec), Kailyn Goodwin (Chris), and great-grandchild. She also leaves behind bonus grandkids, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and great-nieces and -nephews.
Kathy had many dear friends and neighbors who held a special place in her heart, and were like family to her.
Kathy was born on June 30, 1957 in Evansville. She worked at Regina’s for 27 years and was known for her stubbornness, willpower to do anything, and her kind spirit. She lived at home with her dog Pepper, whom she loved dearly.
Kathy loved crocheting, going to yard sales, spending time every chance she got with her family. Her love, warmth, and laughter will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Service for Kathy will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday September 20, at Boultinghouse Funeral Home, 527 Main St., Rockport, with Pastor Matt Hall officiating. Burial will take place following service at James Parker Cemetery, Hatfield.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home Friday September 19, starting from 4 to 8 p.m. and before the service on Saturday 8 a.m. until time of service.
