Margaret “Maggie” Ruth Schraner passed away Saturday, July 4, 2026, at The Waters of Rockport, in Rockport.
Maggie was born on August 26, 1946, to the late Shellie and Mary (Cook) Schraner in Owensboro, Kentucky.
Maggie worked for the Red Cross in Evansville and at Catherine’s Clothing Shop in Evansville.
She enjoyed going to the movies, out to eat with her friends and reading in her spare time. She also loved her dogs.
In addition to her parents, Maggie was preceded in death by her stepmother, Mabel Schraner, her brother, Leo Schraner, her stepbrothers, Roy Jr. Beckort, Jim Beckort and Fred Beckort, her stepsisters, Alice Adamson, Bidie Opal Wilson, Ann Winkler, and Virginia Anderson.
Maggie is survived by her niece, Shelli Schraner, along with many other nieces, nephews and extended family.
Services are 12 p.m., Monday, July 13, at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport, with Pastor Carl Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Owensboro Memorial Gardens in Owensboro, Kentucky.
Visitation is 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
