Marion Lee “Knobbie” Young, 87, of Rockport, passed away on Monday, March 23, 2026, at The Waters of Rockport.
Knobbie was born in Centralia, Illinois on July 5, 1938, to the late John and Corena Richards.
She lived her life in Rockport, and will be remembered for her kindness, her love for her family and many friends, and the joy that she brought to those who knew her.
Knobbie was a homemaker and had worked several jobs that she loved. She never knew a stranger. She loved to travel, camp, and loved the sun and the beach.
In addition to her parents, Knobbie was preceded in death by her siblings, Pat, Barbara, Carol, Rita and Bobby.
Knobbie is survived by her husband of 66 years, Warren Young, her children, Rick, Debbie, Mike, Patty and Rodney, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she adored, her sister, Judy, and her brother, Johnny.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, March 29, from 4 until 6 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 6 p.m. with Pastor Jimmy Ahl officiating.
