The DEA, Spencer County Substance Abuse Council, Volunteer Fire Departments and Spencer County Solid Waste Management District will partner to offer Medicine Cabinet Cleanout Day on Saturday, October 29, from 8 a.m.-12 p.m. at participating fire stations.
Drop off expired or unused prescription drugs at Dale, Rockport, Santa Claus and St. Meinrad Fire Stations.
Why not just throw them away or flush them?
Don’t flush. What you flush could end up in your drinking water.
Prescription drugs are abused more frequently than illegal drugs. And, 70% of teens obtain their drugs from friends’ or relatives’ homes (or trash).
Medicine Cabinet Cleanout Days allow unwanted drugs to be safely disposed of.
