The first time the Heritage Hills softball team faced Pike Central this spring, they suffered a 12-2 five-inning knockout.
But in the rematch, the Lady Pats turned the tables on the Chargers to earn a close win by decision.
After the two squads traded blows throughout the fight, No. 14 ranked Heritage Hills landed the final jab to secure a hard fought 7-6 victory over No. 7 ranked Pike Central in the semifinals of the Class 3A, Sectional 31 Tournament Tuesday, May 23, at Jasper.
