Thursday June 16th saw the annual luncheon hosted by the Spencer County Regional Chamber of Commerce commence without a hitch!

Featuring a visit from Governor Eric Holcomb, a catered lunch, and performance of the Makin’ a Home on Pigeon Creek Musical, awards were presented to deserving individuals and businesses for their contributions to the community.

The talented cast members open the luncheon with a preview performance of the Makin’ a Home on Pigeon Creek Musical.
Speaker for the afternoon, JW Arnold welcomed the guests to the luncheon and introduced Gov. Holcomb.
Gov. Eric Holcomb and Kathy Tretter, Chair of the Spencer County Regional Chamber of Commerce, discussed the post-pandemic economic state of Indiana, among other things.
SCRCC Director Kathy Reinke announced and presented awards to individuals of the community.
Stacy Huffman received an award on behalf of the Business of the Year, Shourds Equipment.
Pat Koch stood to receive an award for Board Member of the Year.
The Chamber decided to present the David B Synowiec Award. Possessing strong leadership attributes in the face of adversity as well as an evident passion for community is the criteria. The award was given posthumously to Georgia Banks, a very worthy recipient. Her son Leslie Banks accepted the award from SCRCC Director Kathy Reinke.
