Randy Allen Schaefer, 61, of St. Meinrad passed away Monday, February 6, 2023, at his home. Randy was born on March 19, 1961 in Huntingburg, to Alvin and Mary Ann (Wright Mehring) Schaefer.
Randy was employed as a forklift driver at Masterbrand Cabinets. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, grilling and camping, campfires and playing UNO. He was an avid Indiana University basketball, Tennessee Titans football and Cincinnati Reds fan. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include one daughter, Terra (James) Hobert of St. Meinrad, and one son, Joseph Schaefer of St. Meinrad; three grandchildren, Marcus and Lucas Hobert, and Jayce Schaefer; two sisters, Becky Winiger and Phyllis (Doug) Satterfield, both of St. Meinrad; three brothers, Danny (Pam) Schaefer and Scott (Linda) Schaefer, both of St. Meinrad, and Kenny (Rhonda) Schaefer of Bristow.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Alvin Schaefer, Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. EDT on Friday, February 10, at Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand. Burial will follow in Saint Meinrad Church Cemetery.
