Tri Kappa of Rockport Epsilon Psi invites artists to visit Rockport during a one-day competition to create works of art on September 1. A $25 registration fee is due by August 23 and includes entry of two canvases (maximum size is 36×36) and a wrist band to attend Blues on the Rock, at the Rockport City Park.
Bring your own canvas and easel and spend the day creating your own masterpiece. Registration begins at 7 a.m. at the Community Building at Rockport City Park; participants should have their canvas stamped prior to beginning their work. Canvases should be turned in no later than 4 p.m. The doors will open for the reception at 6 p.m., and an awards ceremony will commence at 6:30. Prizes offered in the amount of $500, $200, and $100.
Artists who wish may set up booths at the park to sell paintings at the Blues Festival.
