It’s Vacation Bible School season, and Rockport’s Gospel Mission Church completed its “Soul Survivor” VBS program Friday after a busy week of faith and fun. Thursday’s event began with a skit in which actors portrayed the Baptism of Jesus in the Jordan River. Classes throughout the rest of the evening focused on this story of the Bible, and elaborated on John the Baptist and his role in the Christian Bible, as well as Christ’s subsequent 40 days and nights in the desert.

The evening was also punctuated by lively songs, crafts, and also a set of bounce houses to enjoy the clear weather. For more information on Gospel Mission Church, visit the link below.
