Spencer County Sheriff’s Department

Rear-end collision

Christopher Tuck, 23, of Evansville, was eastbound on SR 66 when, he told authorities, he began to slow his speed due to vehicles in front of him also slowing down; as he lowered his speed, his 2007 Jeep Wrangler was struck from behind by a 2014 Nissan Sentra driven by 82-year-old Archie Keown of Richland. Keown advised authorities at the scene that he did not notice that Tuck had slowed, and he was unable to stop in time to avoid hitting the Jeep. Neither driver was injured in the October 6, 3:34 p.m. collision near Richland. Total damages were estimated between $5,000-10,000.

Three vehicles involved in collision

Alicia Williams, 35, of Owensboro, KY, was stopped in traffic on SR 66 due to construction when her 2012 Toyota RAV4 was struck from behind by a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by 56-year-old Paula Tallman of Hartford, KY. The impact then pushed Williams’ vehicle into the back of a 2015 GMC Terrain driven by 83-year-old Herbert Vanover of Calhoun, KY. None of the drivers were injured in the October 1, 8:09 a.m. collision near Rockport, but total damages were estimated between $10,000-25,000.
