Spencer County Republicans celebrate Lincoln-Reagan Day

It was an evening of normalcy — a celebration for Spencer County Republicans and guests. Just the “normal” felt like cause to celebrate during the annual Lincoln-Republican Day Dinner held Saturday evening, June 12, in the Celebration Room at Santa’s Lodge.

Larry Gaesser (left) received the Precinct Committeeman award for his dedication.
Susan Harris was honored with the Party Chairman’s Choice award. She has served as Winkler’s right hand for many years.
Tom McCart, former Perry County Republican Party Chair, was in tears when he was honored by Winkler for his many years of service to the cause.
Susan Ippoliti received a special honor for her hard work prior to Election 2020.
A group who worked together prior to the election were honored as Volunteers of the Year. Pictured from left: Spencer County Recorder Vicki Brauns, Commissioner Heather Gries, Councilman Brian Greulich, Party Chair Jon Winkler and Treasurer Elaine Jones. Clerk Darrell Stephens also received the award but was not present as for 30 years he has volunteered with American Legion Baseball and was in Kentucky for a tourney.
