As part of their Oktoberfest and fourth-anniversary celebration activities, St. Benedicts Brew Works in Ferdinand will host the ‘Sprint for the Sisters 5K’ event on Saturday, October 12. Registration will begin at 8 a.m. at St. Benedicts Brew Works. The 5K run/walk will start at 9 a.m. Entry fee is $25 with proceeds benefiting the Sisters of St. Benedict, Monastery Immaculate Conception. A t-shirt is guaranteed if registered by October 1. A limited quantity of t-shirts will be available to same-day registrants. Free beer and root beer samples will be available along the route.
